Sculpere - Esculpir. Forma, volumen y espacio, poéticas de la materialidad
Exhibition of High historic and artistic level, Sculpere - Esculpir. Forma, volumen y espacio, poéticas de la materialidad, traces an overview of world sculpture during the 2nd half of the twentieth century.
The exhibition features 92 works representative of different artistic trends, such as geometric abstraction, informalism and figurative tendencies. Names such as Lygia Clark, Alexander Calder, Carlos Cruz-Diez, Yoko Ono, and León Ferrari Daniel Canogar are some of the internationally renowned artists whose works can be appreciated in the exhibition.
Many of the works will be exhibited for the first time in Chile, and most of them were donated by foreign artists during the period in which the museum was in exile during the dictatorship.
