Heterotopías. Medio Siglo Sin-lugar : 1918-1968 is one of the five major events of the project "Versiones del Sur" that takes place at the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía. Curated by Mari Carmen Ramírez and Héctor Olea, this exhibition brings together more than 400 works by Latin American artists made ​​at the decade of 1920-1930 and 1950-1960.

Among the most outstanding artists: Oswald Andrade (Brazil), Xul Solar (Argentina), Diego Alfaro Siqueiros (Mexico), Jesus Rafael Soto (Venezuela), Joaquín Torres-García (Uruguay), Carlos Cruz-Diez (Venezuela) and Armando Reveron (Venezuela) and also an exhibition of artistic groups that were essential in Latin American art creation. Among them, El Machete (México), Los Antropófagos (Brazil) and Ejercicio Plástico (Venezuela).
