The new museum of contemporary art in Buenos Aires, the MACBA, opens its new headquarters with the exhibition "A global exchange. Geometric abstraction since 1950s". This exhibition, curated by Joe Houston -author in 2007 of the major exhibition "Optic Nerve: Perceptual Art of the 1960s" - shows the various aspects of the museum's collection of geometric and abstract art. 

The exhibition shows Physichromie 321-B (1967) by Carlos Cruz-Diez.

The exhibition features artworks by Luis Tomasello, Julio Le Parc, Francisco Sobrino, Ary Brizzy, Raúl Lozza, Martha Botto, Iommi, Kosice, Juan Melé, Alejandro Puente, Arden Quin, Aizenberg, Guillermo Kuitca, Siquier, Inés Sigety, Marta Minujín, Víctor Vasarely, Carlos Cruz-Diez, Lothar Charoux, João José Costa da Silva, Lorser Feitelson, Frederick Hammersley, Karl Benjamin, Heinz Mack, Richard Anuszkiewicz, Kenneth Noland, Sarah Morris, Leon Polk Smith and the german group Zero.
