Carlos Cruz-Diez, invited artist at 'Estampa' Artfair

Estampa Multiple Art is a contemporary art fair that centers its attention on the international multiple art through editions of photography, engraving, sculpture, video, digital art, artists' and photography books, sound art, records, and other manifestations of serial art.
It is celebrated in Madrid since 1993, and it is an annual reference for galleries, editors, and institutions dedicated to the collection, dissemination, and promotion of contemporary art editions.
Estampa Multiple Art will feature the work by Carlos Cruz-Diez as the image of the 2011 edition. The Cruz-Diez Foundation is also present at the fair with a major stand.

Crosswalks for the opening of Firstsite's new building
Colchester, United Kingdom

Cruz-Diez has designed four crosswalks to commemorate the inauguration of Firstsite's new building in Colchester. Crosswalks can be found close to Firstsite, the University of Essex and in front of the main train station heading towards London.
The new building will be a leading venue for contemporary visual art with purpose-built gallery spaces for major international exhibitions, a display space to showcase elements of the University of Essex’s internationally important collection of Latin American art.
These crosswalks are part of the artist's body of work for The Intervention in Urban Spaces which he has embarked on since the seventies in Paris.

"Color in Space and Time", the video tour

The Cruz-Diez Foundation presents a virtual tour of the retrospective that has taken place at The Museum of Fine Arts (MFAH) in Houston. The exhibition which has obtained the remarkable assistance of half a million visitors in a period of five months (February 6th - July 4th 2011) in the first part of the itinerant tour. The next step will continue through South America making the first stop at the Museo de Arte Latinoamericano de Buenos Aires (MALBA) beginning on September 21st, 2011.
