Throughout his life and career as an artist, Cruz-Diez devoted himself to writing and sharing his thoughts, as well as to producing texts that present his research, which now serve as a basis for understanding his art—a conceptual platform on the phenomenon of color.

Today considered one of the main thinkers of color of the 20th century, the artist has also been the subject of numerous writings by critics, art historians, and curators.
